Poem: #7
Date: 28/04/09 Tuesday

Her body is frigid;
Frigid and alone.
She steps outside;
Outside into the sun.
The sun that warms her;

Warms her with light
that blinds her.
Blinds her till she absorbs
and then reflects.

The sun burns her like
a million torches set around.
It renders her powerless but
she flees with little.

Her body is not scorched.
She steps into it-
Into the moonlit balcony.
The high balcony with the cool breeze.
A dulcet breeze that clams.

It clams her skin that
was peeling away.
It calms her nerves that
Are over-wraught with distress.

The moon that glows brighter
And the breeze that blows harder;
So powerful that she
is co-erced to flee again.

She cannot return to
the sun anymore-knowing
it shall burn her heart
once more. Realizing
she cannot turn back,

She look on ahead. But
she is not oblivious.
The moon shall freeze
her blood if she walks onward.

Aware of these perils-
Risks she cannot take-
She makes a choice;
An impartial choice that
would be stillness.

A stillness with no charring.
A stilness with no congealing.
Only numbness-
The numbness that makes her fade away:
Evanesce into black perpetuity.

Wrote this one after I was feeling horrible about something. I don't know how, but these ideas about the sun and moon just popped up in my head and the whole thing fit so perfectly!

So there you are. I hope you enjoy it :3
